Liposomal Delivery Format May Boost CoQ10 Bioavailability

CoQ10 plays a vital role in the production of chemical energy in mitochondria by participating in the production of adenosine triphosphate (ATP). A liposomal formulation of Coenzyme Q10 may improve bioavailability compared to standard CoQ10, says a new study that also hinted at favorable shifts in biomarkers of inflammatory or oxidative stress after only one dose.

A new study compared the bioavailability of Liposomal CoQ10 from Specnova using its LipoVantage® technology against placebo and standard CoQ10.
The liposomal formulation of CoQ10 had a 31.3% higher Cmax and a 22.6% higher AUCO-24 over 24 h compared with the standard formulation (p<0.001). Read more.
